Stool "MPKP1"
This stool, or in Finnish "jakkara", is made from 7 different skateboards. De-gripped, sanded, cut into stripes, glued up, cut again and glued up again. A fairly lengthy process with much attention to detail.
The checkerboard glue up was further enhanced with perpendicular oriented round plugs, before the seat was turned on the lathe into its final shape. The seat is slightly concave and rounded over at the edge for more sitting comfort.
The metal legs are supplied by Pinnijalkapojat Oy in Finland. Besides being incredibly sturdy with a good weight to them, the design really elevates the colorful skateboard seat.
